Gardening with my kids
I found a great "no-school, summer vacation break" idea for my kids, Christine and Paul: GARDEN WITH ME! Last night, I bought seeds and fertilized soil for them. And this morning, I put aside a little garden space in our backyard for each of them.
It's not that hard to encourage the kids to garden. They have a natural curiosity and liking for outdoors. But the trick is to get them to dig, plant, and work! You know how kids are. What's important is I can be around gardening with them, having fun, and connecting with them.
Time to rediscover also my inner child as I garden with the kids.
