I'm remembering Christ's passion this Holy Week. There is a very clear link between his death and our sins. Isaiah wrote: "But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed." (
Isaiah chapter 53 verse 5) I hear Jesus's words: "You are my friends, and the greatest love a person can have for his friends is to give his life for them." (
John chapter 15 verse 13) Christ took my sins upon the cross. I cannot repay Him. My life was never the same again. I've learned to hate sin, obey and live for Him who died for me.
