You know the master sculptor Michelangelo? Once, he was criticized for wasting tremendous amounts of marble when he shaped the "David" statue. To all of these criticisms, Michelangelo responded, "As the chips fall away, the image emerges." It gets to remind me of how God our Father (our perfect parent) uses discipline as a tool for helping our images to emerge!
