Christine on to college ...

My daughter, Christine (or "sai"), 16, is going to college. I'm amazed about how much she has grown! I need to adjust ... seeking independence where she used to be dependent is part of the natural progression of life ... I praise God for teaching me how to face the seasons of life with grace, confidence, and appreciation. God is good!

Here's one pre-college "note" I cherished from Christine when she was 16:

"To my beloved father, first of all, I want to thank you for taking good care of us. Thank you for always being there for me. Despite of the faults that I’ve done, you always make me feel bad but strong. Yiee. Dad thanks sa lahat lahat. Thanks sa book na binigay mo last night. Hehe. May note pa sosyal. Sorry pala if minsan pasaway ako. Hehe. I’ll try to be a good daughter. Thanks din at nung nag open up ako say o di ka nagalit. Ayun, I just wanna surprise you at binigyan kita ng gift. Haha. I just want you to know that you are the best Dad in the world. Ayun. Thanks sa lahat ulet. Sana marami pa tayo bondings with the family. Lge ka mag ingat sa work mo. Sana ang bonding at pag uusap natin lagging ganito. Wahaha! Di ako sanay ng masunget ka eh. Dapat lagi ka naka smile. Hehe. Always remember I’m just always here for you. I love you. Lablot -- Sai"
