Putting Recovery Limits

Often, Jesus, when He was on earth, put recovery limits to replenish or protect Himself - physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Geographically, He'd come away after reaching a boundary. In personal recovery and healing, there are instances when one has to physically remove one's self from danger. The Bible advises this. To separate from those who hurt us can create a safe place for ourselves until the other changes. "The prudent man sees the evil and hides himself" (Proverbs 22: 3). The idea of limiting togetherness is therefore for the sake of creating a healthy environment for healing, recovery, and safety where there's first a "binding of evil."
