Forgiveness Therapy (Part 1)
"But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you" (Matthew 5:44). Your pain and wounds are real. God knows them. You can be totally honest about them. But physical and emotional wounds should not keep you from healing by forgiving. Forgiveness means you know the facts and you will to let them go. When you forgive, it does not release the other person from being responsible for his or her offense and its consequences. But it does release you from orbiting around past hurts and wounds. Forgiveness is the only medicine that brings healing peace to turn your mind from the injustices of your life toward God.
