Are You Afraid?

Are you fighting fearful feelings and thoughts?

Are you afraid of what the future holds for you?

Do you fear responsibility or circumstance that has been thrown on you without choice?

Are you afraid about what will happen to your family, marriage, children, job, finances?

Who and what is attacking you with all these fears?

When you and I get fearful, there's an enemy who attacks. He attacks our emotions and thoughts to immobilize or destroy us. This invisible enemy uses human beings and circumstances to trap us into woundedness or bondage.

Do you want to overcome this enemy and your fears? If you do, I have good news for you. But it starts with a "choice": Choose to be afraid ... choose to deal with it in your own ways ... or, choose to handle your fears with faith in God.

Today, I submit to you that only God can totally heal and remove all of your fears. Do not allow the enemy and man give you the spirit of fear because of all your problems. Do not be afraid! God is in control of your life. Whatever happens to you has been filtered through the eyes and hands of God.

"The LORD is with me; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?"(Psalm 118:6).

"I sought the LORD, and He answered me; He delivered me from all my fears"(Psalm 34:4).

"The Lord is my light and my salvation--whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life--of whom shall I be afraid?"(Psalm 27:1).

Maybe you are facing losses in your business or work. Maybe a loved one or friend betrays you ... or have fallen into adultery, alcoholism, drugs, gambling, and other addictions. Whatever it is, always remember that the Lord has a plan for you (Jeremiah 29:11). Know in your heart that God is your refuge, your fortress and your shield. You do not need to be afraid, when God is your Protector.

There it is, your therapy key: DON'T FOCUS ON THE FEAR OR YOUR PROBLEM; INSTEAD PUT YOUR FOCUS ON THE LORD.

Experience the Lord Jesus protecting you! Give every fear you have to Him. Seek Him and He will calm all your fears.

"'Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.' So we say with confidence, 'The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?'" (Hebrews 13:5b-6)
