"How long will it take for me to recover and heal?" This is one of the most frequent questions of those going through the process of psychotherapy and counseling. The truth of the matter is, you can not be certain of the date. There's no formula or guarantee how much time it will take until you become "whole" again after a trauma or struggle. Each person's healing journey is unique. Some recover slowly; some recover faster than others. Accepting that it's going to hurt for a while is important. Realizing that recovery is a process that requires commitment to go through despite the pain will point you to the right direction ... and eventual healing breakthrough.
