Two Legs of Same Journey

I am convinced that there are 2 legs in the psychotherapeutic journey: psychology and spirituality. In the process, we can begin on the psychological road and then move on to the spiritual road. The psychological journey focuses on the psyche (mind) to make one's self known to one's self. This psychic strand affirms and strengthens the self with truth. The spiritual strand of the therapy journey, on the other hand, envisions transcending one's self and surrendering it to a Higher Power to receive total healing and wellness.

"And the peace of God which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:7).
