What Are You Living For?

Before New Year's day, I read in the papers of the tragic death of a young mother. A gift box was anonymously delivered to her house. Inside the gift box, one of the five grenades exploded when she opened it, killing her instantly.  With an incident like that, we never have to be reminded that life is fragile and uncertain. We know that. The question we face is: Since life can end any time, for what purpose should I live it? Time is an allotment from God. You can use or abuse it. Life at its longest even with many more new years to come is still short. Right now, you are alive and breathing. But for what reason?

"You do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes." (James 4:14)
