You Don't Drown By Falling In Water, You Drown By Staying There

When tragedy or sorrow comes, do not fear it. Embrace it! There is "a time to weep," as the writer of Ecclesiastes says.  Welcome your tears - they can serve as cleanser of the emotional backwashes of your life. If you hold them back, they may eat away at your inner being. However, just remember: don't entertain the sorrow too long!  Long ago, a rabbi in Talmud said, "Who broods excessively over his sorrow will weep for yet another death." I have witnessed such cases, and I'm sure you have also. There is a time to say goodbye to sorrow. Harness it. Turn it to wisdom and blessing. Move on.
