What Is A Child?
About a couple of weeks from now, I'd be speaking to an audience organized by a top TV station on the psychological issues and healing of children. I'm reminded of Shaw's description. I'm ushered into a growing need of our times for advances in the exposure of child abuse. Sadly, in times past as well as present, the abuse and subjugation of children have been commonplace in our society. Even my own journey as a psychotherapist comes from this awareness and experience of the "wounded inner child," a struggle and crusade to rise out of the ashes.
By championing your inner child, you can let the light shine. As psychologist Dr. Carl Jung said, "The child is that which brings light into darkness and carries the light before it."
"Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter the kingdom of heaven" (Matthew 18:3).
