Spiritual Therapy Has Nothing To Do With Religion

Psychological healing and recovery is never complete until a person develops a spiritual dimension. But it can be a hard subject to cover because people have lots of misperceptions and preconceived ideas about spirituality.

Let me say this:  Spiritual therapy and growth has nothing to do with religion. They are separate issues. Don't mistake "getting religious" for genuine relationship with God. In search of spiritual growth, one can get trapped into a form of fanaticism or religiosity in order to just look better. Such has no place in the spiritual dimension of recovery.

When psychotherapy, emotional, physical, and social recovery are combined with spiritual healing, the whole person gets addressed. When spiritual recovery is nonexistent, other areas of recovery deteriorate. It's in the area of spiritual growth and recovery that the stuck person obtains lasting freedom to be real.
