Holy Week (Part 2)

Easter.

This is a long weekend for all of us. Sadly, countless people just spend it in excessive eating, drinking, and merriment. Vacationing. Swimming in the beaches.

Many years ago, I was at the bedside of my younger sister in a hospital. The tubes from the ICU were her only source of physical life. She later died of cancer.

All of humanity lives in the shadow of death. And the memory of my younger sister's death is a reminder of this stark reality.

It is into this world of death and darkness that Christ came. Easter is a time, above all other times, when we should pause and remember the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

That first Easter, light broke through the darkness of the night. Life after death dawned on the followers of the risen Christ.

Don't miss it. There is remedy and therapy for death - Jesus Christ.

Jesus said, "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in Me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in Me will never die."  (John 11: 25, 26)
