Under force of gravity, a stream of water rushing down hill will always find its way to the bottom. Natural course, relentlessly pressing onward. Even if its somehow blocked, it will accumulate force to burst its dam some time, sooner or later! Psychopathology is much the same. Like the flowing current of a powerful stream of water, it will always find ways to express itself. If its stopped or diverted at one turn - say, by circumstances, choices, or creative work - it will build up force until it bursts free of all restraints! That is why deep psychological or emotional wounds must be dealt with going to the "source." Until we go to the "source," individuals who struggle or suffer will only go in circles ... and may eventually hit bottom - hard!
