96% of families are dysfunctional!

When I look at our culture, individuals, schools, and families, my perception is that there are massive numbers of dysfunctional families. What could be the percentage? Noted family psychotherapist/authors Virgina Satir and Wegscheider-Cruse estimate that 96% of families are dysfunctional. Now that's horrific statistic, isn't it? Well, how could they know? I believe the statistic is not intended to be accurate for us to consume. It's a kind of stats intended to merely shock or grab our attention! The plague of dysfunctional families is an epidemic. That's the message.
