A Secret of Emotional Health

Harvard Medical School offers a continuing education seminar entitled "Healing Through The Contemplation of Forgiveness." Physicians and other healthcare professionals do struggle with issues of forgiveness in their patients. They see its damaging effects in the lives of those they treat as well as in their own lives.

I can clearly remember periods in my own life in which someone deeply hurt me. I struggled. But those moments when I finally learned to forgive, my emotional health began to improve. If you feel burdened by anger, bitterness, and resentment because someone has hurt you, look at the clock. Note the time. Forgive.

That's an emotional health secret worth contemplating. Learn how to appropriate it.

Yes, we must learn how to appreciate it. We must remove all our negative emotions and always start our day with a smile.
