The Courage To Change
Are you afraid to change? If you are, you are a coward of life.
Without courage to change, there is little or no hope. How often we spend the majority of our time struggling to willingly look at ourselves! It seems that most of us lack the courage to see who or what we can find inside us.
I'm reminded of a lawyer who consulted me for a "gradual abstinence"plan for his extramarital affair and illicit sexual activities. He remains attached to his addiction because he's too busy trying to untie rather than cut. His delay prevents recovery (personal, marital) from beginning. As he delays, he affects the lives of everyone - his wife, children, parents, friends etc. - around him. He is stuck in his cowardice.
We must all develop the necessary courage to cut from our lives whatever is preventing us to live, heal, and grow.
