Take The Parachute

Hitting bottom is absolutely needed in real recovery. Without it, you're only kidding your self. You are bound to sure relapse. You cannot afford not to hit bottom if your life is to truly begin.

When you hit bottom in your life, you're only beginning. It doesn't have to be a catastrophe. Seek help. Go through the therapy/recovery process. You can have a soft landing!

Four men were flying a small airplane - a priest, a scout, a pilot, and a lawyer. The plane was about to crash and there were only three parachutes. The pilot said, "I have young kids, they will miss me." He grabbed a parachute and jumped. The lawyer blurted, "I'm the smartest man in the world. The world will suffer a loss if I die." He too grabbed one and jumped.

Sobbing, the priest turned to the scout and said, "Son, I'm old and ready to meet the Maker. You are young and have a whole life ahead of you. Take the remaining parachute." The scout responded, "Calm down, father. The smartest man in the world grabbed my knapsack and jumped out of the airplane!"

Too many "smart" people in the world are dying because they're only carrying a knapsack. You can have a soft landing when you hit bottom. Take the parachute!
