How's Your Face?

Abraham Lincoln once said, "Every one ... is responsible for his face. People are about as happy as they make up their mind to be."

Well, you do not have to be a psychiatrist or psychologist to perceive Lincoln's health-giving principle. Taking responsibility for your own life is an important route to healing and wholeness.

If you choose to remain angry, depressed, bitter, or anxious, your face, body, behavior, thoughts and feelings will reflect that. Too often, our unprocessed pain or perverse nature chooses to stay stuck there.

People who choose happiness stops being a victim in relationships. They do the necessary recovery work. They begin to celebrate life with joy that will be translated into physical, psychological, and emotional health.

We all have the power to choose who we will be and what we will be.
