A Woman In The Rains

One early evening, I felt strange. A woman I was counseling suddenly appeared near the gate of the village where I live. She was finally located after 6 months of disappearing from her millionaire Mom's house and police search.

For many hours until midnight, in the middle of heavy rains, she stood shaken before onlookers, violently refusing to return home. When her mother and sister arrived, she cursed and shouted at them. She cried all night and drove people away.

I didn't quite know how to speak to her at that very moment. She won't respond to logic or any type of kind gesture. Looking at her, she reminded me of ancient memories of my own and the powerful grace of healing that is available. In a way, she was right. She was so deeply hurt. And she simply needed help to heal and her questions straightened into exclamation marks.
