Laughter Rx

I was feeling a bit too stressed today. But I got lightened up by comedian Jose faking an "injury" during the celebrity basketball game for Yolanda victims awhile ago. The game ended in a draw, 71-71, at the Ateneo gym.

Dr. Herbert Benson, MD, affirmed that laughter is medicine. He writes, "Humor, smiles, and laughter are the very best stress-busters." Authors Wilcox and Suzuki explain: "Laughter touches us at a deep emotional and physical level. By its very nature, it changes our perception and invites us to look at things in a different light."

When you feel too hurt or pained, how about taking a few doses of Laughter Rx?  Don't take everything personally. You can learn to laugh at you ... for  a break!  Yes, life can be silly, even crazy at times, but it can still be enjoyable.

"A merry heart does good like medicine, but a broken spirit dries the bones" (Proverbs 17:22).
