Quest for Fulfillment

All human beings are in a quest. A quest for fulfillment. An innate void in everyone of us yearns for that.

Let’s count the ways how we try to seek it.

Greece said ... Be wise, know yourself.
Rome said ... Be strong, discipline yourself.
Education says ... Be resourceful, expand yourself.
Materialism says ... Be acquisitive, please yourself.
Psychology says ... Be confident, actualize yourself.
Pride says ... Be superior, promote yourself.
Communism says ... Be collective, secure yourself.
Humanism says ... Be capable, trust yourself.
Philanthropy says ... Be unselfish, give yourself.

Even with all of these, man still finds himself confused.

As Henry David Thoreau put it,

“The mass of men lead lives of quiet desperation.”

A massive number of us are trying to fill the inner vacuum with everything ... except for One Thing.

fulfillment, Covid trauma healing, anxiety therapy counseling, online psychotherapy counseling, depression, marital counseling

That One Thing happens to be the only Way. Apart from that Way, there is no fulfillment, there is no direction.

Jesus spoke those fulfilling words, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life.” (John 14:6)

Be in that Way, rest yourself.
