Don’t Hurt People Back When They Hurt You

Don’t hurt people back when they hurt you.

It’s a life lesson I’ve learned the hard way.

It’s so unnatural that it only drove me to tears.

I’ve been hurt, betrayed, and cheated on since childhood.

I don’t totally understand why this kind of exposures to persons and situations have been allowed in my own life.

I’m probably a poor judge of character despite what I know.

Or, God simply wants me to learn and grow and deepen me through it ...

And use me as a vessel in His mission to help “heal the broken-hearted” going through the same.

I think I also know the pain that Jesus must have felt when he looked out, having done no wrong, and cried, “Father, forgive them!”
