Medscape Reports Psychiatrists Rarely Do Psychotherapy Any Longer

Very few now have access to much-needed psychotherapy services and providers. Studies indicate that psychotherapy is increasingly becoming a rare practice among psychiatrists, who are trained more on drug therapy and psychopharmacological practices. This was a latest finding from Medscape who recently invited Dr. Stephen Strakowski to moderate a discussion between psychiatrist John Gunderson, MD, psychologist David Reinhardt, PhD, and mental health nurse practitioner Ruth R.
